Lily Zinberg
We are bursting with pride to share that our own Lily Zinberg (Grade 8, Maple Street School) took Second Place in Region 3 of Hildene's statewide Lincoln Essay Competition! Her winning essay calls for media-literacy lessons to help students spot misinformation—using the Israel-Hamas war as a case study—and to foster respectful dialogue across the divides. Lily's thoughtful writing stood out among 158 entries from across Vermont. Her achievement shines a bright light on the importance of critical thinking and
kavod (respect) that we value as a community. Well done Lily!
